The following message is from Travis and Jeanette Havens, missionaries to Eastern Europe:
We hope all is well with you-all. We have been doing well. Jeanette and I wanted to let yall know that we have made plans to spend June and July in Kosovo ministering to the Albanians there. We will be there from June 7th until August 1st. The purpose of this trip would include several objectives.
1. We will have the opportunity to disciple new believers in the faith who are living in the city of Pristina, Kosovo. Many of these new believers are college students and will be the future decision makers of their country. This will be a great opportunity to invest in the lives of the future leaders of that country by helping establish in them a Biblical worldview!!
2. The trip will help us to determine God's will for our future, how Gideon will react in a foreign culture, and what schooling options will be available for him.
3. We would also use this time to take care of our belongings in the storage there. We have to go get them out of storage, and sell or give them away. We have been paying to keep them in storage for the past 2 years while hoping Gideon would get medical approval.
Please pray for our time and our work this summer. Please pray for divine appointments and that we would meet and share with people as God sets up opportunities. This is a big step of faith for our family and will be a big undertaking for us, especially Gideon. The costs associated with this trip are significant. God has already provided enough funding to cover airfare. Now we are asking you to pray and ask God to provide enough money for living expenses, as well as expenses related to taking care of our personal belongings. We do not intend to bring our belongings back with us to the States, but we will owe storage fees. If you would like to contribute to our endeavor, you can give a tax-deductable gift to Rocky Creek Baptist Church.
